Copper Air Terminal Class-2

A copper air terminal for a Lightning Protection System (LPS) Class II is a strike termination device specifically designed for structures with a medium-high risk profile, such as commercial buildings with significant occupancy. For Class II systems, copper terminals must typically meet a minimum diameter requirement of 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) to ensure they can handle the expected lightning current.

• Material: Solid copper is preferred for its 100% IACS electrical conductivity and excellent corrosion resistance in diverse environments.

• Air Rod: The vertical rod that intercepts the strike. These can be pointed or blunt, with blunt tips often preferred for their strike-reception efficiency.
